This song (undisclosed desires by Muse) was brought to my attention on fetlife in a discussion about BDSM related music. So I had a listen to it and to me it is about a dominant's feelings towards his submissive. The line 'show me how its done' means alot to me because it makes me think of a inexperianced/new dominant asking his more knowledgable would be submissive to teach/guide him into how to be a good dom (which is sort of how it is for me at the moment). To me it seems like the dom is in awe of his submissive and is trying his best to do everything he can for her. As a submissive I can also strongly identify with the chorus because I think I also have violence in my heart, and have felt like my beauty is just a mask (that im impure/dirty on the inside like a sinner) and I think I also have demons from my past that still effect me, and many undisclosed desires! Actually I feel like this song has been written for/about someone just like me! lol.
I know you've suffered,
But I don't want you to hide,
It's cold and loveless,
I won't let you be denied
Soothing,
I'll make you feel pure,
Trust me,
You can be sure
I want to reconcile the violence in your heart
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask,
I want to exorcise the demons from your past,
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart
You trick your lovers,
That you're wicked and divine,
You may be a sinner,
But your innocence is mine
Please me,
Show me how it's done,
Tease me,
You are the one
I want to reconcile the violence in your heart,
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask,
I want to exorcise the demons from your past,
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart
Please me,
Show me how it's done,
Trust me,
You are the one
I want to reconcile the violence in your heart,
I want to recognize your beauty is not just a mask,
I want to exorcise the demons from your past,
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart
